All abilities are welcome, whether you’re a seasoned professional, or someone who’s never been on a hike, long walk, camping, etc, the time to start is now, it is never too late! Event #1: Epping Forest Hike (Sunday 16.10.22) Event #2: Richmond Park Walk (Sunday 23.10.22) to be repeated for those who could attend due to the initial weather forecast. Event #3: Peak District National Park Hike. 12-13th November. Event #4: Canal Walk: Regent’s Canal - Thames River to Little Venice (Saturday 26.11.22) Event #5: Richmond Park Walk #2 (Sunday 04.12.22) Event #6: Kayaking in Hackney Wick (Saturday 8th April 23) Event #7: Trail Run: Maverick Race Adidas Terrex in Surrey (Saturday 13th May 23) Group Rules: - be kind & respectful of all - do not post other groups, links to groups without prior permission - ask questions if you’re not sure about doing something/or want advice from the community on a related topic :) This group will be a hub, community and open forum discussion to: - Plan hikes and trips, whether these are day-trips to local areas/routes within easy reach, or longer haul trips to the Peak District, Yorkshire Dales, Lake District National Park, Snowdonia National Park or further afield ✈️ - Discuss routes, experiences people have had, safety, difficulty levels, and share tips and tricks to ensure every hike is a good hike! 🗻 - For those more adventurous and seeking to be closer to nature, camping tips for first timers, checklists, do’s and don’ts of camping and hiking 🏕️ - Cross country running and walking tips, tricks and training tips to ensure every experience is a memorable one! 🥾 - Wild swimming locations and discussions for those who want to find the perfect spot to go for a dip outdoors 🏊 Come on in, experience the great outdoors safely, and create priceless memories 🏕️🥾⛰️ The fundraiser here is for “The Nature Conservancy”, a global environmental nonprofit working to create a world where people and nature can thrive, so we have many places to explore for generations to come 🍃🌳🌎
