Seeking to overcome your fears, gain confidence and attain more success? Mindfulness-based coaching is the friend you need. Underpinned by the framework of mindfulness, I help clients understand their mental formula, identify their internal barriers and plan specific actions to begin the process of change. Through introspective methods I allow clients to view their challenges from a new perspective, providing space for new insights to emerge. My coaching is guided by two main principles You are not your thoughts Using meditation, we are able to realise that thoughts come and go regardless of our interaction with them. Through repeated observation, you are able to discover that thoughts are not reality, but rather an interpretation. This does not mean then we should pretend thoughts do not exist, it just means we should change how we respond to them. Far from being a deep esoteric teaching, the idea that thoughts are not facts is a key principle in contemporary psychotherapy. Both Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) use this assumption as a key principle. Unconditional self-love No matter the thoughts that arise in our mind, responding with unconditional self-love is essential. This does not mean pretending everything is ok or forcing positivity, rather it means fully accepting the reality of our minds. This allows us to stop hiding things from ourself, and begin sewing the seeds of real change. Coaching is not an easy ride. Coming to face-to-face with all the parts of yourself that you try and avoid can be distressing. If however, you have the ambition and the courage, send me a message and we will see if we are right for each other. TESTIMONIALS “In our sessions Fabian has helped me realise my own weaknesses and problems through reflection and comparison to where I want to be. Through understanding these, we have worked together to find action steps towards change and improvement. Fabian has been very good at offering ideas in how these improvements can be made, however the most beneficial aspect has been in helping me solve these challenges myself. The sessions have pushed me to properly face my feelings and actions with self-honesty, and then find the solutions myself.” – LW, Student, University of Oxford “I found Fabian responsible and conscientious, asking insightful , thought provoking questions and guiding me to clarity. I highly recommend Fabian to others” – RM, Pychotherapist
