The Neuroscience of Love

10 May, 7:00 PM  ·  Tower Hamlets

Event details

Locals 💛 Have you ever wondered what’s love? Let’s go to this amazing talk and learn the science behind love together ✨ Love sits at the centre of our humanity 🫶🏻 In this talk, evolutionary anthropologist, Dr Anna Machin explores the cutting-edge science behind love. She will explain all about the neurochemicals which bribe and reward us for investing in our closest relationships even when the going gets tough. You will find out what goes on in our brains when we fall in love, and why we get to experience it with so many people and beings. We will also learn how genes impact how you feel and behave when in love and how your attachment profile has a fundamental impact on the relationships you have throughout your life. Anna will then explore the future of love. Will the rise of love drugs and AI alter how we love forever? Anna is in awe of the complexity of love and the extent of our ability to experience it. We all have love in our lives, join Anna to increase your understanding of what it is. This experience is in support for refugees, please open your hearts and make a donation to Choose Love 💗
