Event details
Stride & sip - run, wine, friends It’s pretty simple. We meet up as a group, run a few kilometres at a slow conversational pace, and have a good natter. After our run, we’ll sit as a potentially sweaty group and drink a glass of delicious wine and have some nibbles, cementing the friendships we’ve started. The idea came by fusing two of my loves, wine and running, wanting to meet new people, and seeking to reclaim the space for balance that I think can sometimes be missing in the fitness world. Where will we run? We’ll do roughly 6.5km, down Old Street, through Farringdon (downhill whoop!), past St Paul’s, down to Bank, through the City which is oddly deserted at the weekend. How fast will we run? Whatever you like. It will be steady enough for everyone to feel comfortable and no-one will be left behind. We’ll meet at 3pm and our table for drinks is at 4pm, but if we’re earlier or later that’s fine! Will there be a bag drop? Yes, we can leave our bags at The Grocery Wine Vault, 52 Kingsland Rd, London E2 8AB. But neither I or the venue take any responsibility for them, so don’t bring family heirlooms and the like. Where will we drink that wine? Our host venue is The Grocery Wine Vault, 52 Kingsland Rd, London E2 8AB. What will we eat and drink? The Grocery Wine Vault will pick out a delicious wine and put on a platter of food to dig into and refuel. The cost of the event goes towards the food and wine. What if I want more wine? Bring your card and buy some!
