Here meaningful connections are built on the foundations of powerful expression. This isn’t like your regular open mic group, and I don’t intend it to be. In this space, the freedom of expression fuels every moment and every corner of the room. In the audience and on the stage there is always a chance to connect with those around you deeply, to express yourself in ways that are fresh and new. To experiment and to find out more about yourself through that process. At the past event, people came alone and left with a new group of friends, people walked in shy and left with bundles of confidence and ive even been told that some people went on dates together as a result of this. This isn’t like other open mics group. It is special, it is about us bringing something fresh into our life, sparking a deeper connection to ourselves, our potential and the world around us. Expression will pour out of each meet-up, through interactive and immersive experiences, emotive theatrical performances and deep encouragement the space will be buzzing before we even truly begin. A reason I care so deeply about putting it together in this way is simply because of how hard it can be to create meaningful connections here in London. We should really be able to go to events that excite us and leave with friendships that do the same. These wont be flash in the pan events. They will be the foundation on which a true sense of community is built. This is also a great time to sign up to perform. 7:30 First act of the night An interactive act, giving the audience a chance to express themselves, loosen up and connect with more people 7:45 -10:30 Poetry, music, comedy and so much more will be showcased centre stage. You get to sit back and watch as this all takes place… you also get the opportunity to be one of the acts performing.
