Event details
Dance is a great instrument, which connects mind to body and soul. In the Flow Dance session I combine Contemporary Choreography with an active meditation practice. It helps you to achieve body awareness and coherent flow of energy in your body. The contemporary choreography sequences enrich your dance movement palette. Friendly environment of #the_lodge.space and alternative music contribute to the joy of dance flow. Once your body becomes flexible you unwind your creative energy. ____________________________________ There are no strict demands to repeat exactly dance sequences during the class, however there are instructions to focus your attention on certain movements and explore your body potential. Beginners and advanced dancers are welcome. This practice allows space for everyone to move in harmony with his abilities. By the end of class, you will feel relief and lots of energy to move on. _________________________________________ Warm-up: A 20-min sequence focused on small joints mobility, then spin and hip mobility. Certain wave exercises will expand your chest and unblock the pelvic. In order to improve your flexibility, you will be squeezing the body into a little seed then slowly expanding it to the sky through a flowing dance. Dance Expansion: Second part is 20 min and it connects you to the space. This sequence is to explore 5 levels of movement from crawling to leap. Spiral movements will help you push the flow through all you body and speed up. Some floor work will help you to escape the fear of falling. Also floor works contributes to stretching and body strengthen. Building a firm contact with the ground, you move to new levels for the dance. Flow Dance Performance: The last 20-min based on musicality to obtain rhythmic movement and take it into your true dance improvisation. I guide you through visual and sensual associations to add character to your dance. Your true dance will come through the synchronization of music and deep body feeling. By the end of class, you will feel relief and lots of energy to move on. This lyrical dance-video "Moth & the Flame" I created for your inspiration: Dance-Video on YouTube "MOTH & THE FLAME" Dancers: Sveta Bird & Daniil Belkin
