COVID-19 highlighted a well-known fact: that creators cannot rely solely on brands deals. In 2020, as marketing budgets worldwide shrunk, influencers experienced contract cancellations and a significant decline in earnings. Also, regardless of how many followers creators have on social media platforms, they do not have full control over access to this audience. The platforms control algorithms and own the access, leaving creators/influencers again at the mercy of these platforms. However, there is a clear path forward: To achieve true success, creators must have full access to their audience and create multiple paths to monetization. This is what this session is about. It’s an opportunity learn and share ideas with other creators and influencers.
