Drawing influence from the ancient tradition of the Zulu, whose warrior code is deeply reliant on music for motivation and healing, entwining such ideologies with the skills he has acquired from the legends of South African Jazz. Co-founder of the world’s first Choro School in 1997, de Holanda’s unmatched talent on the 10-string mandolin has made him perform and record around the world with the likes of Wynton Marsalis, Chick Corea, Chucho Valdes, Egberto Gismonti, Ivan Lins, Joshua Redman, Hermeto Pascoal and many more.
