Join this peaceful protest to demand for women’s rights, justice, putting IRGC on the terrorists list, freedom for political prisoners and regime change in Iran. ✊🏼❤️🔥Removing dictatorship from Iran will be a step closer to a peaceful, free Middle East. To achieve that, we need to change the way Western countries sees Middle East and stop normalizing cruelty there. This is a revolution! Be a part of it! As you may know, 22 year old Mahsa Amini was killed by morality police because she didn’t wear her hijab “properly”. She was beaten into a coma and died. There were signs of assault on her body, but the government tried to claim she had a heart attack… Currently suppressive Iranian government cut off internet access to stop citizens from sharing cruel videos of protesters and even people in their homes being shot dead! The police, who are supposed to protect people, are killing them! We are lucky to be in a safe country where everyone has rights, but let’s be Iranian people’s voice and make our government help them gain freedom. Iran was modern up until 1979 when Khomeini declared Iran an Islamic state and The Family Protection Act, which provided further guarantees and rights to women in marriage, was declared void, and mosque-based revolutionary bands known as komītehs (Persian: “committees”) patrolled the streets enforcing Islamic codes of dress and behaviour and dispatching impromptu justice to perceived enemies of the revolution. It’s about time people in Iran have freedom from dictatorship they did not choose! We must act now to get Justice for all of the young people who were killed during protests with hopes for their future freedom. 💔 For all the children who were killed in protests (more than 70). 💔 For women’s rights to choose what to wear. For basic human rights. For democracy.
