Join for an unforgettable coastal hike along the Saxon Shore Way, from the historic town of Hastings to the charming medieval town of Rye. This 20 km trail offers stunning views of sandstone cliffs, serene beaches, and the beautiful English Channel. Details: Date: Sunday, September TBC Meeting Point: London Bridge Station, 8:50 AM Difficulty: Medium (be prepared for a challenging start) Duration: Approximately 5-6 hours, including breaks What to Bring: Comfortable walking shoes, water, lunch food and snacks. There is no cafe in the middle of the way. Important Note: The first 5 km of this hike are particularly hilly, so make sure you're ready for some uphill walking right from the start. It's a rewarding challenge that will give you incredible views, but be prepared! Beach Stop: Midway through the hike, you’ll reach Pett Level Beach, a tranquil spot ideal for a break. The water temperature is expected to be around 18°C, perfect for a refreshing dip if you're feeling adventurous. Enjoy the sea breeze and relax by the shore before continuing your journey to Rye.
