Hello Locals! I am building my hours to qualify in Somatic (Body – Orientated) Coaching and am offering 20 FREE coaching sessions. Who is this for? 🌻If you are an overthinker who struggles to make decisions and/ or you are going through a difficult decision-making process and are finding it challenging to identify a way forward. 🌻Curious about approaching life decisions more holistically 🌻Grappling with life stresses that seem outside your control 🌻Want to acquire the skills to regulate your nervous system 🌻Tap into the power and wisdom of your body 🌻Learn how to attune, listen & be guided by your body 🌻Build self-awareness around how you approach your life & life decisions If any of the above speak to you this if for you! What is Somatics? Somatics derives from the Greek word Soma, which means body. What Somatics is interested in is exploring ALL of who you are as a person. In Somatic Coaching our role of coach is to guide the individual to into an inclusive relationship with their Self – which means: We focus on your cognitive faculty: Your mind which thinks abstractly, forms the conceptual awareness and builds constructs based on words (the left hemisphere of the brain). This is of course useful for the conceptual mind to think abstractly BUT too often in our daily lives the conceptual mind creates constructs (ideas built with words) that are disconnected with lived reality. And we get stuck there. And so we include - Your Bodymind: your sensory perception (which works on three levels: interception, exteroception, proprioception). This is our connector to reality and of vital importance because if we connect solely to our conceptual awareness without including our Bodymind we’re likely to disconnected with lived reality. And we get stuck there in looping thoughts, anxiety, foggy brain, unclear direction, overwhelm ect. Somatics works to bridge your conceptual understanding of life with your embodied relationship to reality. This unlocks a way forward of living, relating, healing and approaching life that is connected, inclusive, holistic, optimal and enrichingly multi-dimensional. How will this session help me in the long term? This session will give you an opportunity to check in with yourself and become curious about who you are right now and how you experience the world, as well as explore how you want to move forwards in your life. Somatics allows us to tap into a fresh perspective when we all get stuck on auto-pilot with all the things this modern way of life demands of us! Somatics is a great way of getting out of the looping cycles of our mind or when the relationship with ourself seems a bit monotonous or feels dejected. Somatics lends one the opportunity to strengthen their ability to listen and attune to themselves. It is empowering to tap into resources we may have never, or rarely, have the opportunity to contact or connect to. In doing so we can realise that we actually do have valuable information, that we do actually hold answers. A brilliant teacher of mine described somatic coaching as, “A safe and held space for exiled parts of us to speak.” The exercises and guidance I do with you can be taken away and you will be able to use them as tools to help you in your everyday lives – you will experience ways to check in with yourself, as well as skills to help you create more of a healthy distance from any unhelpful thinking patterns and personal beliefs that may be limiting to you. Please note: the sessions are led by you. This is an important aspect of coaching as it allows us to practice being our own authority of our life. I am a guide, there to support you and move you towards any resources that may be helpful in your process. That being said, I can offer specific exercises and show you some techniques that you can take away and add to your ‘Wellbeing Toolkit’. If this sounds up your street join the event to learn more!
