Free language lesson and language exchange. We welcome all levels, BEGINNER/ INTERMEDIATE/ ADVANCED. A great way of meeting people and socialise. If you are new to the group, no worries, we are an established friendly crowd. You will be greeted by one of our hosts who will introduce to members and settle you into a group. Where do we meet - every Thursday 6:30pm, @ Ole & Steen cafe, Crossrail Place, Canary Wharf, beside Elizabeth line. A chance to grab a drink or one of the delicious cinnamon social Danish pastry. How does it work - when you join let one of the hosts know what level of English you wish to practice. At 7:00pm we break into classes between 4 to 6 persons per group led by an instructor. There will be a topic for the session with new vocabulary. We work in pairs - questions and answers and then move on to a new member. The session will last for around 30 minutes and then there is a chance to practice your new vocabulary in the main group for approximately 15 minutes. If you are attending for language exchange, this is the right group for you. We have friends and members from around the world. There are plenty of opportunities to practice and share languages. Typically we have members who want to exchange in FRENCH/ SPANISH/ TURKISH/CHINESE/ JAPANESE. After the session we usually go to one of the restaurants/ bars. The after location is decided by attendees for that evening so please try to arrive by 7:30pm if you wish to join.
