I’ve recently discovered I have 1% of Finnish blood and I just really like this country and particularly the Finnish food! 🇫🇮 The Finnish Church in London (Lontoo Merimieskirkko) is based in Rotherhithe and also boasts a café serving Finnish food and even has its own Finnish sauna! 🧖🏼‍♀️🫕🍪 Next weekend 24-26.03. they are holding the annual Spring Fair! 🐣🌸🌱 You will sample traditional Finnish sweets and seasonal treats including mämmi (one of the strangest things I’ve ever tried but I loved it) and pasha and browse stalls laden with Moomin paraphernalia, chocolates and handmade arts and crafts products. A Finnish style BBQ will be held in the garden and the cafe will be serving up its popular cinnamon buns. I will be there on Saturday 25.03. and invite you to join me! 🤗 Fair opening times: Friday 24.03. 12-20 Saturday 25.03. 12-18 Sunday 26.03. 12-17 *Please note that sauna is open until 19.3. and closed during 20.-31.3.
