Event details
contact improvisation / regular classes in Warsaw contact improvisation is a pair and group practice of sensitive co-presence, touch and free-flow movement. the interaction, the dance developes spontaneously from what you sense in each unique moment of contact - with yourself, the body, the space, the partner, the group. it is a meditative exploration of somatic cosmos shared with others there aren’t gender roles in it. there aren’t predescribed forms to necessarily follow. but you’ll be gradually learning what’s possible. the physical interaction can be various: from complete stillness to intense flow of movement; from no touch to full body contact; from rolling together on the floor to flying and spinning in lifts. none of it is mandatory or expected. all of it can be approached at your own pace or not approached at all. your dance can be anything one way to enter, immerse yourself and develop in this practice is the internal process of release. physical, mental, emotional, energetic.. wholistic. exploring and cultivating release can make your contact improvisation soft, fluid, spacious, connected, effortless, alive, tasty, beautiful - inside and out. your dance doesn’t have to be any of that. but it can 🙂 teacher Andrei Voronkov, he has been sensitive since childhood.
