Malibu-Ray Miller Trail with Ocean Views-Point Mugu Easy/moderate hike with gorgeous views of the ocean along the whole trail. The hike is ok for beginners and we will take rest stops as needed. It is a loop hike, 2.7 miles each way, 1000 ft elevation. I suggest to wear fitness clothes, layers, comfortable hiking shoes or shoes with good grip, and bring water/snacks. The hike takes about 2 hrs total. The trail does not allow dogs.
There is always plenty of free parking along the highway and it's allowed to park there. There are restrooms at the bottom of the hike and a water faucet. As you drive on PCH you’ll see a sign ‘Point Mugu State Park, La Jolla Canyon’, park anywhere around that sign, on both sides of the highways. Walk through the yellow gates, keep to the left. We will be meeting under ‘Ray Miller Trailhead’ sign-see photos.
