You are invited to join a three-hour workshop on Central Asian cooking, featuring dishes from Uzbekistan and Tajikistan and Afghanistan. At the end, guests will share a meal together, and refreshments and tea will be provided. one vegetarian dish, one non-vegetarian dish, and a rice dish. Dish 1: Vegetarian 2 dish 1.Vegiterian dumpling, make your own from from onion leak. 2.Mirza Ghasemi is a delicious dish made primarily with eggplants, tomatoes, and eggs. Here’s a simple recipe to prepare it: Ingredients: - 2 large eggplants - 2 medium-sized tomatoes (or 1 cup of canned tomatoes) - 3 eggs - 2-3 cloves garlic, minced - 1 onion, finely chopped - 1 teaspoon turmeric powder - Salt and pepper to taste - Olive oil or vegetable oil - Fresh parsley or mint for garnish (optional) Dish 2: Non-Vegetarian - Chicken Bukhara is a creamy and delicious Mughlai dish that could be the star of your next feast and it comes with a tangy twist to it. Ingredients: 750 grams Chicken - 1/2 cup Hung curd - 1 cup Onion (chopped into pieces) - 1 tbsp Ginger-Garlic paste - 1 tbsp of Almonds or Cashew nuts Paste 1can Coconut milk 1/2 cup Oil – 1 tsp turmeric powder 1 tbsp Kashmiri red chilly powder 1 tbsp coriander powder 1 tsp Cumin Powder 1/2 tsp Garam masala 1 tsp Red Chilli powder - Dish- 3 **Plov (Steam Rice) **Ingredients:** - Basmati rice - Carrots, julienned - Garlic - Cumin and coriander spices - Salt and pepper - Vegetable oil Workshop Flow 1. **Introduction (15 mins):** Welcome participants, introduce the dishes, and discuss Central Asian cuisine. 2. **Cooking Session (2 hours):** - Start with the vegetarian dish, move to the non-vegetarian dish, and finish with the rice dish. - Encourage participants to collaborate and share ideas. 3. **Serving and Socializing (45 mins):** Serve the dishes and enjoy a meal together, allowing time for conversation and sharing experiences.
