Hi everyone! Launch Event this Sunday! Yoga connect: For black, brown and people of colour, any yoga levels welcome! BPOC Yoga Connect brings black, brown and people of colour together to learn, move and connect through yoga, creating room for exploration, self-development and community. Lead by yoga teacher Shay. This event will be looking at what yoga is on the mat, and what yoga looks like in our lives as black, brown and people of colour. Sessions welcome all BPOC yogis, those who who may be at the beginning of their yoga journey and/or individuals who want to delve deeper into their practice and build a community together. Hosted at the beautiful location The Yoga Space, Woolwich this will be our very first BPOC Yoga Connect, and will continue the last Sunday of every month, creating a safe space to grow and connect. BPOC Lead Structure of the event: - Check in - Discussion: Yoga as a practice and how it can be applied in our daily lives - 45 mins yoga session - Chill and chat in café/outdoor café This event aims to allow you to gain further knowledge on your yoga practice, and a safe space with like-minded individuals to leave you feeling connected, grounded and light. So, join in on our first ever BPOC Yoga Connect, to learn, move and connect. About the host: Shay Shay Uwaibi is a yoga teacher of Nigerian heritage, who aims to empower students to explore their inner truth. Creating a safe space for all to come as they are, to know they are welcome and to be curious of what they may discover about themselves... and also have some fun with it! Please bring comfortable clothing. Mats and props will be provided.
