Award-winning play followed by Q&A with director

Event details

Don’t miss the opportunity to make your Friday evening special! The Art Theatre crew presents an award-winning, raw, funny, and philosophical play by Charles Bukowski at Riverside studios, the hub of creativity and talents in West London. Charles Bukowski is a post-war underground American poet and novelist. It’s always great when a bunch of cool locals get together and go to cultural events. This one will be special as after the performance, you will have a chance to discuss the play with Anya Viller, the founder and director of Art Theatre and ask questions! It is super exciting! The Q&A session will be organised in the cafe right in the theatre. This is what Anya Viller says about the play: Full of cynicism, irony and humour, the performance suggests that we are all just people in the end. Being weak but pretending to be strong is generally very human. And these insignificant characters, in a sense, oppose the "American Dream" and our modern obsession with success. Because...it’s okay to be an ordinary person. Everyone has the right to cut themselves while shaving. Together these, mostly, working-class stories paint a picture that would not look out of place in modern-day London – as one audience member put it "I know all of these people, I know all of their problems. These are stories of the insignificant person – stories about all of us. ❗️🎫TICKETS: https://www.eventbrite.co.uk/e/ordinary-madness-a-theatre-experience-inspired-by-charles-bukowski-tickets-1129865521189
