Kundalini Yoga Teacher The word Kundalini literally means "the lock of the beloved." It is a metaphor, a poetic description of the flow of energy and consciousness that originally exists within each person. In yogic tradition, Kundalini is depicted as a coiled serpent, sleeping at the base of the spine. The raising of Kundalini signifies the awakening and revitalization of a person's creative potential.
